Fuse Offices

NYC
2004

The design orders an entire façade around the dimensions of a continuous fluid line, ensuring that the identity of Fuse is integrated with a cantilevering stage showcasing relevant artists to the street: an expansive volume of translucent glass framing live performances to spectators with programmable messages.

At a distance the composition reads as an abstracted form indicating a broad gesture signal of fuse. Upon closer inspection the installation reveals a smaller communicative programmable led message board as part of the continuing energy of Times Square from the north, informative alternating text within a large defined text. During the day sunlight absorbs into the glass skin generating an opaque glow; at night, internally lit, the façade becomes a dynamic energetic light-display.
